Cash and carry: Woman in China rides through X-ray scanner rather than part with purse

A lady in southern China escorted her handbag thru its journey with the luggage x-ray scanner of a train station instead of just parting with the bag in the middle of the holiday rush of the Lunar New Year, as reported by Chinese media.

Video footage from Pear Video, a digital news platform that is connected to the Facebook page of the state-run People’s Daily newspaper and extensively viewed on the internet, revealed a guard that appears to be telling the woman that, of course, little bags are required to be placed in the x-ray machine as well.

The security video clip reveals her departing from the point of view of the screen and then appearing from the x-ray device. Still x-ray pictures online displayed a person in high heels in a kneeling position together with bags and other things.

The woman went through the security screening device on a train station located in the southern city of Dongguan only because she sought to guard her money that is placed in her purse, as reported by the People’s Daily in their Facebook page.

A lot of Chinese migrant employees bring their yearly income home to family in cash at the time of the Lunar New Year holiday break, the busiest trip time throughout the whole year.

The People’s Daily stated that:

“Passengers are warned that not only is this kind of behavior forbidden, but also the radiation from the machine is incredibly harmful to human health.”
