A Paris art gallery opened its gates for the very first time to nudist guests, allowing them exclusive visiting time to view an exhibit in a one-off naturist activity. The Palais de Tokyo modern art museum that is located in the luxurious 16th district of Paris is the first gallery in the city to allow such admittance, even though other naturists have lately brought out other initiatives in the capital of France.
A recreation area located in the east of Paris, the Bois de Vincennes, previous year had a test run of the city’s very first specialized nudist zone, and the area recently re-opened prior to the summer season.
Naturist campaigners stated that the art gallery event, with close to 160 participants, was a success in one of the culture capitals around the world.
Julien Claude-Penegry, the communications director of the Paris Naturists Association stated:
“The naturists’ way of life of is to be naked. Culture is part of our daily life, and this is a special opportunity. Today, the mentality is changing. Naturists … are pushing past barriers, taboos or mentalities that were obstructive.”
Based on the statement of the association, which has over 88,000 followers in Paris not including any other parts of the country, there are 2.6 million people wo practice naturism in France.
Up coming for naturist is a nudist clubbing night organized in the future. Museums organizing nudist activities are not new, and many museums worldwide are practicing it.
